THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
I edited breaking news, spot and enterprise stories on politics and culture.

As the sole U.S. desk editor in California, I steered edits on top stories anchored in the West including high-profile obituaries, elections, criminal trials, obituaries, mass shootings and major weather events, as well as award shows and space missions.

I edited texts about LGBTQ+ rights, climate change, abortion rights, voting access and racial justice.

A breaking news story package I edited on Texas’ six-week abortion ban was later cited in U.S. Supreme Court briefings.
